Wonderful comments from another satisfied BioFit athlete!
“During the short time I’ve been riding, I’ve had several people recommend I get properly fitted on my bike. I was having knee, hip, lower back, and even foot issues after long rides and even after short climbing rides. Reaching my shifters and brakes while in the drops caused me to rotate my elbows outward. I finally went to Jim Cunningham and Tim Crunk for a BioFit where all of these issues were addressed through a physical assessment and then a proper fitting on my bike. It was evident how much this was needed as Jim adjusted every part on my bike leaving nothing as it was before. This professional fit has correlated into more power and comfort on the bike with no pain of the previously affected areas. My breathing is noticeably less labored now that my diaphragm isn’t compacted with my seat positioned correctly. My only regret is that I didn’t have the BioFit sooner.”

Jim,
I want to thank you for doing such a great and professional job with my bike fitment. It was evident that you truly care about getting the best results and I have reaped the benefits. Since the changes that you made, I am now riding in a much more comfortable position and putting more power to the pedals. My only regret is that I didn’t have you make the changes sooner. Thanks again, Mike Renner

1) Employ a bike fitting professional and ask for references
2) be sure your fit specialist checks your bio-mechanics (leg-length, hip flexibility, etc.) as this factors heavily into your bike fit
3) have your fitter look over your shoes and cleats; a bike fit starts with your cleats and shoes!
4) got carbon? your bike fitter better have an appropriate torque wrench. Simply do not use a fitting service that doesn’t use a torque wrench on your bolts
5) know what to expect when you leave – should the bike feel great straight away on the next ride?!?!? will you experience new soreness that will fade after several rides? are you able to return for a follow up visit to tweak your fit or take a second look after a few rides?
The above due-diligence will give you the piece of mind you want regarding your bike. Check out Greenville Cycling Center’s Pro Bike Fit webpage – http://www.greenvillecyclingcenter.com/bikefit.html.
